Chunkus Maximus

After intensive research, mourning Doves have been renamed by the scientific community to Chunkus Maximus (Chunks in standard English).  Here are the field notes about the birds.

Diagram 1-A shows a typical Chunkus Maximus. This particular chunk has landed near a ground feeder. It will push other birds out of the feeder, and then the chunk will proceed to sit in the food to  eat.

New findings show Chunkus Maximus has food receptors, meaning the birds always know where food can be found. Please see diagram 1-B. Please note the researcher had difficulty writing and spelling during fieldwork.

Tips for identifying Chunkus Maximus:

1- When driving in the evening, look at power lines. You will know when you spot one.
